About the Gentle Knot

About Your Officiant

The Gentle Knot is rooted in the belief that a wedding ceremony

should feel like being gently held.

Not rushed.

Not performative.

Not something you have to get through.

Just present, intentional, and true to the people at its center.

Each ceremony is created with care, shaped by your story, and

guided by a deep respect for meaning, ritual, and connection.

My work as an officiant is rooted in a deep love of meaning and

the many ways people create meaning in their lives together. I’ve

spent years studying world religions, exploring how different

traditions hold space for transition, commitment, and belonging.

That perspective shapes everything I do—not by imposing

structure,  but by helping you discover what feels genuine

and meaningful for you.

Before becoming an officiant, I spent years as a teacher, guiding

people through complex ideas, helping them find clarity, and

listening closely to what mattered most to them. That same care

carries into this work.

Every ceremony I create is collaborative, thoughtful, and shaped

by who you are—not a template, not a script, but something that

reflects your relationship honestly.

Whether your ceremony is simple or fully customized, my role is

the same:

to hold space, to guide gently, and to help create a moment that

feels real, grounded, and entirely your own.

If this feels like the kind of ceremony you’re looking for, I would be

honored to work with you.
